My Top 2: YA Time Travel Romance Books

If you know me, you'd be well aware I absolutely love to read time travel books, I find them so fascinating and enjoyable (depending on the book of course).
So I decided to let you in on my 2 top favourite time travel romance books!

#1 Favourite: Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier

SYNOPSIS: Gwyneth Shepherd's sophisticated, beautiful cousin Charlotte has been prepared her entire life for traveling through time. But unexpectedly, it is Gwyneth, who in the middle of class takes a sudden spin to a different era!
Gwyneth must now unearth the mystery of why her mother would lie about her birth date to ward off suspicion about her ability, brush up on her history, and work with Gideon--the time traveler from a similarly gifted family that passes the gene through its male line, and whose presence becomes, in time, less insufferable and more essential. Together, Gwyneth and Gideon journey through time to discover who, in the 18th century and in contemporary London, they can trust.

My Thoughts:
Rating: 5 Stars

I thought this series was amazing, I've read it twice and honestly can't fault anything about it! I really enjoyed the story line, I was constantly glued to the page, it had my full attention from page one.
I loved the main character, I found I really connected to her throughout the story, she was very likable. The journey and adventure through time and history was fantastic, I was able to picture each era really well and I felt like I was there in that time with them.
Now as for the romance part of it, might I just say Gideon was absolutely swoon worthy and a great match for Gwen, where can I find one exactly like him!!?

#2 Favourite: Passenger by Alexandra Bracken

SYNOPSIS: In one devastating night, violin prodigy Etta Spencer loses everything she knows and loves. Thrust into an unfamiliar world by a stranger with a dangerous agenda, Etta is certain of only one thing: she has travelled  not just miles but years from home.

Nicholas Carter is content with his life at sea, free from the Ironwoods—a powerful family in the colonies—and the servitude he’s known at their hands. But with the arrival of an unusual passenger on his ship comes the insistent pull of the past that he can’t escape and the family that won’t let him go so easily. Now the Ironwoods are searching for a stolen object of untold value, one they believe only Etta, Nicholas’ passenger, can find. In order to protect her, he must ensure she brings it back to them— whether she wants to or not.

Together, Etta and Nicholas embark on a perilous journey across centuries and continents, piecing together clues left behind by the traveler who will do anything to keep the object out of the Ironwoods’ grasp. But as they get closer to the truth of their search, and the deadly game the Ironwoods are playing, treacherous forces threaten to separate Etta not only from Nicholas but from her path home . . . forever

Enjoyed this very much! Loved the build up of the romance between Etta & Nicholas and the look into history it gave me, which I found the history it provided was well researched and was one of the best parts of the story. It was a well written book that kept me interested from cover to cover and I found the characters to be very likable.
Would definitely recommend reading this!
